Horizon-backed Churches Fire announces two exciting new additions to the management board, both will play a critical role in helping to shape and deliver their ambitious growth plans and further establish Churches Fire one of the leading fire protection and compliance providers in the UK.

RICHARD HAYNES – COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

Richard joins Churches Fire as the new Commercial Director and will be responsible for commercial strategy, customer management, sales and marketing through traditional and digital channels. He will also support the commercial integration of acquisitions.

Richard has been involved with Churches in an interim capacity since the investment by Horizon Capital in summer 2017 and brings a strong mix of strategic and operational experience from previous roles. His early career was spent in management consulting with PA Consulting Group and then Ernst and Young, where he helped develop their leading UK advisory business. Following this, he successfully moved into a number of management team roles for other private equity backed businesses; the most significant of which being Ideal Standard where he was the Head of Strategic Marketing, Digital and Brand for their UK division.

STEPHEN RILEY – M&A DIRECTOR

Stephen joins Churches Fire as M&A Director and will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential acquisition targets, overseeing due diligence and leading contract negotiations. Stephen joined Churches Fire earlier in 2018 and given his impact, the leadership decided to promote him to Director. Stephen brings 15 years of M&A experience to the team having held a number of M&A roles with Ernst & Young, Thomson Reuters and DMGT. The successful recent acquisitions of Fire Safety Services and WMS Systems underlines Churches Fire acquisition focus. The team continues to build a strong pipeline of further acquisitions that will strengthen our national coverage and cross discipline capability.
