Our Team

As Managing Partner of Horizon Capital, I am responsible for the overall strategy and management of the firm whilst being actively involved in new investments and our portfolio.

Alongside my fellow partners, I set up Horizon Capital with a clear vision to be a sector specialist in technology and services businesses using buy and build in every investment we make. I started my career in the Corporate Finance team at PwC, having graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Business Administration. I moved into an investing role early in my career as I wanted to work with management teams beyond just the transaction.

I now have over two decades of investing experience and have had the privilege of working with some exceptionally talented teams in building market leading businesses.

I am Managing Partner and a Founder of Horizon Capital and am focused on finding new investment opportunities, structuring and executing these transactions and supporting our management teams to deliver on their exciting growth plans. I also sit on the Horizon Investment Committee and manage our origination and investment teams.

Prior to joining Horizon, I originated and led transactions for the leverage finance team at RBS, Sovereign Capital and the M&A team at EY.

I currently manage our investments in Ridge and The Marketing Practice and previously led and managed our investment in Sapphire Systems and Dains Accountants.

I am a founding Partner and a member of the Horizon Capital Investment Committee. I have invested in fast growing entrepreneurial businesses for over 16 years, helping managers and entrepreneurs grow their businesses in the UK and internationally.

I currently manage and sit on the boards of three of our portfolio companies; STRAT7, Boston MFO and Turnmill.

My early career was in strategy consulting at Deloitte, after which I moved into direct investing and worked with two other lower mid market private equity firms before founding Horizon Capital with my fellow partners.

I am a Partner in the Horizon Capital team responsible for leading new platform investments and supporting the growth and development of our portfolio companies.

I led our investments in, and am a board member of, intelligent automation services provider BP3; employment compliance provider TopSource; and corporate training and consultancy provider Alchemist.

Prior to joining Horizon Capital, I spent over 4 years at Spayne Lindsay working on M&A deal execution with corporate and private equity clients. I hold a first class degree in History and French from Bristol University. I’m also a merit holder of the ICAEW/CISI Diploma in Corporate Finance.

I am a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at Horizon Capital. My role includes responsibility for the firms finances and risk as well as portfolio performance.

In founding Horizon Capital with my fellow partners, I saw a real opportunity to specialise in supporting growing technology and service companies in executing intensive buy and build strategies.

My early career was in the Corporate Finance team at PwC and I worked for another lower mid market investor before forming Horizon Capital.

I hold a Commerce and Science degree from the University of Queensland and am a Chartered Accountant and CFA charterholder.

My role at Horizon Capital is to source and execute both new investments and add-on acquisitions for our portfolio companies.

I am currently a board member of Turnmill, having previously supported the successful realisation of Sapphire Systems and Dains Accountants.

Before joining Horizon Capital, I was a Vice President in the Leveraged Finance team at RBS, spending 6 years providing debt capital for private equity transactions across the UK and Western Europe. I hold a degree in Economics from the University of Exeter.

My role at Horizon Capital is to source and execute both new investments and add-on acquisitions across our key sectors of software, technology, data and business services. I am currently a board member of Boston MFO, Modern Networks and The Marketing Practice.

Before joining Horizon Capital, I worked at Preqin, a data provider to the alternative assets industry. I hold a first class Economics and Politics degree from the University of Exeter.

I am responsible for sourcing and executing new platform investments at Horizon Capital, whilst working closely with our portfolio companies to support their buy and build strategies and growth ambitions.

Before joining Horizon Capital, I worked in investment banking at DC Advisory and venture capital at Mercia Asset Management, where I led investments into high-growth technology businesses. I hold a degree in Economics from the University of Warwick.

I am responsible for supporting the execution of Horizon's buy & build strategy through sourcing and executing new platform investments and add on acquisitions.

I joined Horizon from the boutique investment bank Smith Square Partners where I advised entrepreneurs and public companies on transactions across multiple sectors ,including technology-enabled services and business services. I have previously worked at Quayle Munro (acquired by Houlihan Lokey) and hold a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.

My role at Horizon is focused on sourcing and executing new investment opportunities and strategic add-on acquisitions for our portfolio companies. Prior to joining Horizon, I spent six years at Pemba Capital Partners, a leading buy and build private equity fund in Australia.

I hold a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Finance and Economics from the University of Sydney, with High Distinction Honours attained within the University’s Student Managed Investment Fund.

At Horizon, my role is to source new deals and strategic add-on acquisitions.

I previously worked at Third Bridge, a primary research provider, focusing on creating content for Private Equity clients. I hold a Ba in Sociology from the University of York.

In my role at Horizon, I focus on sourcing new deals and strategic add-on acquisitions.

I previously worked at AlphaSights, a knowledge on demand provider, where I supported Private Equity clients throughout the deal cycle by connecting them to industry experts and senior executives.

I hold a BSc in Business and Economics from Lund University.

At Horizon, I focus on sourcing new portfolio and strategic add-on companies.

Before joining Horizon, I worked at RPL, a management consulting firm specialising in commercial due diligence for lower-mid market private equity firms. Prior to this, I worked for proSapient, a primary research provider connecting investors and advisors to industry experts. I hold a BSc in Biochemistry from Newcastle University.

I support both our portfolio companies in their growth journeys and am responsible for providing analytical insights that drive strategic decision-making, portfolio management, and investor reporting.

Before joining Horizon Capital, I worked at Bregal Investments, where I was involved in fund, co-investment, and direct investment analysis and reporting across a range of sectors and geographies.

I hold a degree in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford

As ESG lead, I oversee Horizon Capital’s sustainability strategy and implementation across the portfolio, working closely with investment teams and management to embed ESG into value creation. Alongside this, I am pursuing a PhD at Bayes Business School.

Before joining Horizon, I spent over a decade in the investment industry, holding senior roles in sustainability at IK Partners, a pan-European private equity firm, and MMC Ventures, a venture capital firm specialising in early-stage tech startups.

I hold an MSc in Business and Economics and an MA in Political Science from Stockholm University, and I am certified in CFA ESG Investing.

I support the Horizon Capital team in succeeding in their roles.

I joined the business after completing a diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
