Background
STRAT7 is a customer insight and analytics group, formed by investments in specialist software and data analytics businesses ResearchBods and Bonamy Finch.
Horizon Capital invested in the business alongside its founders in April 2019. Together with the STRAT7 team, Horizon Capital developed a strategy to build a scaled customer analytics group, underpinned by proprietary software IP and leading data analytics capabilities, serving enterprise clients across a number of key verticals.
The investment enables STRAT7 to take advantage of a rapidly-growing and fragmented market both organically and through further acquisitions to expand the Group’s capabilities and exploit international growth opportunities.
The Journey so far
STRAT7 has established itself as an integrated platform of scale in a high-growth market, adding significant new logo Enterprise clients, entering new international markets and completing two acquisitions.
Revenues are up +70% since investment and STRAT7 has transitioned from having a UK only base, to having an international presence in the USA, Sweden and Singapore.
Horizon Capital has worked with the business to build out the management team and invest for growth, hiring a CFO, CMO and CCO, implementing a single CRM system and investing in the continued development of the ex-plor SaaS platform.

Since the investment from Horizon Capital, STRAT7 has completed 5 acquisitions, which have enhanced the Group’s capabilities and expanded the international footprint to better serve its Enterprise client base.
