AgriBriefing is the leading provider of premium independent price reporting, market data and intelligence for the global agri-commodity market. Its primary objective is to help the global agribusiness industry operate more efficiently. AgriBriefing’s trusted brands meet the compelling need for more transparency and trusted pricing benchmarks in this vital sector, with live price reporting, as well as news, analysis, professional networks and market data.
Horizon Capital originally invested alongside the business founders in July 2015 and developed a strategy to build on its vertical industry focus and make the transition towards high value pricing information to international customers in the global agribusiness market.
The Journey so far
Agribriefing has completed its transition to a pure-play price reporting agency and data-led, subscription revenue offering. The final stage of this transition was the successful sale of the original UK focussed media & events division to ARC, in August 2021.
It has more than doubled in scale and is now the largest independent agribusiness price reporting agency globally with over 500,000 professionals across 150 countries relying on its information services to make business decisions worth hundreds of billions of dollars across the entire value chain.
Over the last five years, Horizon Capital has worked closely with the team to build management succession and invest for growth, investing in acquisitions, sales and marketing resource, CRM systems, pricing strategy and IT systems to build a robust and scalable platform.
Buy and Build
Since the investment from Horizon Capital, Agribriefing has completed three transformational international add on acquisitions, one in the US and two in Europe and it will continue to acquire high value price reporting and information businesses in the agribusiness market.
